The new Peugeot 308 Plug-in Hybrid

With a new design, the new Peugeot 308 is the first model launched by the French to bear the company's new logo. The second generation of the Peugeot 308 is preparing to retire after eight years to make way for the new model.

The new 308 has a completely fresh design. It received daytime running lights with the LED light signature in the form of lion's fangs. The grille is much more imposing and reminiscent of the 3008 and 5008 SUVs.

Customers are given the opportunity to choose from sixteen body colors. Olivine Green and Vertigo Blue are the launch colors, and the palette is completed by Elixir Red, Pearl White, Black Pearl Black and Artense (silver). Wheel sizes start at 16 inches and can reach up to 18 inches. The new Peugeot 308 is 11 cm longer than its predecessor.

Inside, the French have prepared a nonconformist design as we have become accustomed to in recent years. The dashboard has been redesigned to comply with the design theme of the other models. Built-in is the 10-inch touch screen of the multimedia system. The eight-color ambient lights, the induction charging of the phone, the Focal audio system with ten speakers and the electrically adjustable seats are just some of the features that the new 308 can offer.

The new Peugeot 308 is based on the EMP2 platform and will be powered by a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine, available in two power versions: 110 hp and 130 hp. Two plug-in hybrid versions are also available. Both use an 81 kW electric motor powered by a 12.4 kWh battery. The basic one develops 130 hp, and the most efficient, 180 hp. Thus, combined, the two hybrid versions develop 180 hp and 225 hp. The new Peugeot 308 Plug-in Hybrid promises an electric range of 60 kilometers.
