The Jeep Avenger compact SUV at the 2022 Paris Motor Show

Today at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, the Jeep ® brand introduced the Jeep Avenger, Jeep's first all-electric model.

The compact Jeep Avenger marks the launch of a portfolio of high-performance, all-electric vehicles tailored precisely for Europe. It is a key component in the global electrification strategy with which the brand is on its way to becoming the world market leader for locally emission-free SUVs.

The Avenger was designed and built as a Jeep from day one. It packs Jeep DNA into a compact SUV with a unique combination of capability, style, functionality and advanced technology to meet the needs of the always-connected consumer.

"The new Jeep Avenger is an important milestone for the brand as it is the first in a portfolio of all-new Jeep BEVs to be launched in Europe," said Christian Meunier, CEO of the Jeep brand. "At the Paris Motor Show we are showing why it is a great all-electric alternative to the other players in the B-SUV segment."

Produced at the highly efficient Stellantis plant in Tychy, Poland, the new Avenger comes standard with SelecTerrain and Hill Descent Assist, which together with the excellent approach angles and ground clearance make it the most powerful model in this segment.

The Jeep Avenger is equipped with a 400 volt electric drive, consisting of an electric motor, transmission and battery.

Connected to a fast charging station with a 100-kilowatt DC Mode 4 cable, three minutes of charging is enough for a range of 30 kilometers, or 24 minutes for a charge from 20 to 80 percent.

The new Jeep Avenger was developed with the specific needs of European customers in mind. The compact SUV, measuring just four meters in length, is positioned in the fast-growing B-UV category, the second largest European segment in terms of volume.

By 2023, the B-SUV segment is expected to reach 2.2 million sales annually, equivalent to one in five vehicles sold in Europe. It's also the segment where the BEV mix is growing the fastest. The new Avenger will complement Jeep's offering in the B-UV segment below the Jeep Renegade 4xe.

"The Jeep Avenger is the first Jeep with zero local emissions," said Antonella Bruno, director of Jeep Europe at Stellantis. "It's the new entry point into the Jeep range and allows us to complete our coverage in the SUV segments. We expect the Avenger to be our best-selling model by 2024. It adds a new level to our offering of electrification and is an important step in the development of the Jeep brand".
