However, according to EuroNCAP results,  Dacia Spring received only one star . The price of electricity will increase by 44% until 2030

Image
According to research commissioned by the European Climate Foundation, the delay and barriers in the deployment of renewables could multiply the price of CO2 in the EU by 80%, with dire consequences for the wholesale market. If Europe does not cut its dependence on coal for energy, the price of electricity will skyrocket between now and the end of the decade . This is detailed in a report by the consultancy  Aurora Energy Research  - commissioned by the European Climate Foundation - which estimates the cost of CO2 could rise by 80% in the next decade if the slow expansion of renewables continues, which would have direct consequences on the wholesale market price. If coal continues to be an option in Europe and the penetration of renewables continues to be delayed, the price of electricity - due to the increase in the price of CO2 and the increase in generation through natural gas plants - will be 44 % higher in 2030 than it would be in a positive scenario where all Stat...

XEV begins serial manufacturing of its YoYo electric car

Image
The IAA was once the stage for major Italian brands, at whose stands fans and customers flocked to be amazed: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Fiat will be absent from the IAA Mobility in 2021. But another Italian holds the position. With the Yoyo, the young company has developed an electric city vehicle that is built in China. A steel frame serves as the basic structure around which the body is then assembled with parts from the 3D printer. With a length of 2.53 meters, the two-seater XEV Yoyo picks up on the original idea of the Smart, and as "half a car," is, therefore, primarily at home in narrow city traffic. The Yoyo, which weighs only 450 kilograms without batteries, is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum output of 15 kW (20 hp). The continuous output is given as 7.5 kW (10 HP). That should be enough to accelerate the Yoyo up to 75 km / h. Depending on the licensing requirements, it can also be designed as a light vehicle w...

In October 2019, Gilles Normand, head of the EV department in Renault, indicated that a version for Europe was in the works. The Renault City K-ZE was rebranded as Dacia Spring Electric in March 2020 during an online event (because of the cancellation of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show). The  Renault K-ZE  electric car uses a 26.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and is powered by a 44 hp (33 kW) electric motor , 125 N⋅m (9...
